Mission

The Chicago Mitochondrial Club was established in 2005. Its mission is to provide an opportunity for scientists in the field of mitochondria to participate in an intense and rigorous review of each others' research results. It is open to anyone who does mitochondrial research, including mitochondrial function, energy metabolism, cell death, and mitochondrial DNA research. Members are from major medical institutions in the city of Chicago, including Northwestern University, University of Chicago, University of Illinois in Chicago, Loyola University, and Children's Memorial Research Center.
